A new beginning

well,
1st day of school,
it's a new beginning of another school year,
nope i didn't get lost on campus this time,
nope i wasn't late for my class,
and yes the campus still seems LARGE and HUGE to me,
and yes i was STILL nervous to go back to school,
anyways.
something God showed me today was i really need to step out of my comfort zone,
i know we all have comfort zones and they come in all kind of shapes and sizes,
sometimes i know how to bust that bubble but sometimes i don't,
which is something that requires a lot of God's grace and strength ..
anyways ..
a new semester,
a new vision for life ...
a new season of life ...
let's go and make a difference.

well , it's almost time for the NEW semester .. yay .. well .. i am excited because
i'll have all my buddies back in town .. and because there's gonna be homegroup again ...
well .. i should be excited for school too .. since i am taking some really neat classes this yr (software engineering and etc) .. something that i am really looking forward to :-)

last weekend, i went to San Antonio to visit my friend Tim with Krista,Stiv and Beth,
that was an exciting trip, we went to Fiesta Texas .. i had a BLAST .. well .. i haven't ride roller coaster for about 2 yrs .. so that was exciting !!

for the rest of this week,
i'll be at my church staff retreat...
should be a relaxing time .. and intense time at the same time because
this will be a great time to unwind and then focus again for the task ahead ...

will liverpool trade Michael Owen to Real Madrid ??
hmm .. very likely .. since Madrid is willing to pay A LOT of money .. 10 - 15 million British pounds .. yeah ...

my trip back to h-town

i haven't been back to h-town lately,
because i am kinda busy , and because most of the people
i know had gone to college somewhere else and most of my closer friends
are in college station ..
anyways .. i took a trip down to houston today (well .. i was takin' my sister to her
conference in Uptown Houston) .. anyways i brought my friend Aaron with me ..
we went all the way down to Clear Lake .. which is a suburb of Houston ..
ate at the McDonald's that i worked at during my High school years .. ( well .. they had long changed their management personnel .. and workers  .. , but it still brought back some neat memories .. ) well , i don't have a family in Clear Lake anymore .. but everytime i go there, i still felt like i was home .. anyways ..
later we went to Kemah Broadwalk .. seems like i always bring my friends there whenever we visited Clear Lake .. then to the Galleria .. a HUGE mall with some neat Stores .. like to Sony Gadgets Store and Apple Computer Store (Genius Corner) .. ... and oh .. we fought thru the Houston traffic too .. that was fun .. LOL ..
well ..
have a good one.
i enjoyed my trip to Houston ..
and i am plannin' another trip to somewhere on this earth ..

Here goes another week in the summer ,
i guess during the summer .. weeks go by really fast,
two more weeks then i am done with summer school,
then i'll have to adjust myself back into the 8-5
monday to friday work mode for 2 months ...
don't get me wrong i love working,
i love my job and i love hanging out at my job ,
but obviously it's different from going to school,
granted i don't have to worry about homeworks or exams,
but i do have to worry about computers .. lol ..

talking about adjusting to a full time employee life,
my friend Nick .. shared some insights about that during
my homegroup guys time .. he shared about .. the responsibilities
of a student , ie. school, work .. etc .. comparing to the responsibilities of
a MAN .. ie. family , work , social .. etc .. and how demanding it will be ..
and he pointed out a really good point about spiritual life,
if we (as students / young man w/ lotta free times) cannot discipline ourselves
to seek the LORD .. it will be harder for the days when we get older .. and have a family ..

i totally agree with him ..
so y'all .. start buildin' this relationship with God thru Christ ..
He's always there pursuing us .. it's just the matter of fact whether we are responding
to HIM or not ,
we can choose to run and drown ourselves in this world ,
or we can immerse ourselves in the truth found in the creator of this world.

it was a very neat wedding,
very simple but full of meaningful stuff ,
the sermon was great , reception was fun and family friendly,
i had fun .. i was glad to meet with old friends and making new friends
alike, i also had fun suitin' up in a tuxedo for the wedding ( i looked cute according to cori .. :-P and i looked like a stud .. according to the guys .. esp. ben ) ..

here are some of my thoughts after the wedding,

and as i look at my life i wonder when i'll have my wedding
... LOL .. j/k ...

i love the meaning of marriage ..
and how it paralleled Christ marriage to the church.

2 1/2 weeks into summer school,
i am already behind keeping up with my math class's materials,
seriously,
math 311 (linear algebra / multi-variable calculus) is NOT
fun especially when the prof wants the students to
make the connection between Algebra and Geometry,
well .. i m not a BIG fan of Geometry since grade schools,
that makes this class harder ( ya know vector spaces / sub-space / domain / range .. stuff like that)
anyways ..
2 midterms comin' up , one in Statistics and one in Math .... actually both in math .. LOL
